Recent uploads.

Before Jamie was born, Scott's mom gave me a few things that Scott wore when he was a baby.

The sweater was one of Scott's, but I'll mention here that my friend Sarah made the booties. You can't tell in the picture, but there's a silver elephant button on each shoe. Very cute!

The white sweater is from Jonathan's (my brother) baby days.

And lastly, we have Jamie in Scott's old bunting. He looks like a pea in a pod, doesn't he? I promise, we only kept him in it for 2 minutes (it IS July), but he was just so adorable. If it had fit him as a newborn, he would have been set during the blizzard!

North Carolina!

As I mentioned, we took a trip to North Carolina this past weekend. Jamie met my mom's side of the family for the first time!

Generation pictures seem to be pretty popular. Here we are -- Jamie, my grandad, my mom and me.

Jamie and his great grandad

Scott made it into the picture.

My cousin Cheryl's children, Cheridan and Dylan. They're great kids.

Unfortunately, my camera didn't end up with a lot of pictures. I'll have to see if I can get pictures from others who were there to share with you!

Hello, hello, hello!

I can't believe we have a baby who is nearly 6 months old. How did he grow so fast and get so old? At the same time...has it really been 6 months? I feel like Jamie has been here for a year!

Jamie has been a busy little guy.

He LOVES his baby food. We've given him squash, sweet potato, bananas, peas, green beans, avocado and carrots. We've kept up with making some of his food at home, but I'm also a fan of the Gerber and Beechnut variety. I've discovered that it's better to undress him and THEN feed him, and to keep plenty of paper towels handy.

In other news, we battled our first illness on his 5th month birthday. The fever came first, followed by a worried phone call to the pediatrician. The next morning, he was diagnosed with Herpangina -- a common childhood virus. It feels like the flu and lasts about a week. How do I know this? It's contagious. Jamie toughed it out, though. I took this picture during one of his many naps that week.

Jamie has been working on his sitting skills. He's doing so well that we just tried him in the shopping cart today at Babies 'R Us...where we picked out his new car seat! That's right, Jamie is such a big kid that he outgrew his baby seat! A little bit of research later, we picked out a seat by Safety 1st. It's already in the car! I'm so proud of Jamie and his new seat, but it makes me a little sad that he won't be using the seat that he came home from the hospital in. (sniffle)

I'll update later with more pictures -- we just got home from a trip to North Carolina, where Jamie got to meet my mom's side of the family. Stay tuned!

Some pictures to tide you over!

The first set of pictures was taken yesterday and the last 2 were taken a week ago, when my mom and brother came to visit.

More to come!
